When you buy new gardening tools, you are more likely to choose low-priced/low-quality or higher-priced/high-quality tools.

Buying good-quality gardening tools is to be able to use them for a longer time, but the premise is that they must be regularly maintained and maintained.

If you choose cheap tools, maintenance is not a problem, because when they wear out, you can just throw them away.

However, regardless of the quality, regular maintenance of your gardening tools will help ensure that they are competent for the next gardening and planting maintenance work.

The following basic principles will provide more convenience for your gardening work and increase the service life of your gardening tools.

*Be sure to remove all soil after every use of the excavating tool. Usually, the basic removal work is to rinse with water, and for some corners that are not easy to wash off, you have to use a screwdriver to remove the dirt or dry mud.

* Let them dry completely before storage. Do not wet the gardening tools. Apply linseed oil to the wooden handles to protect them from rust and rot.

* After each use, wipe off the metal parts of the pruning shears, scissors and trimmer with an oily cloth. Or, you can dry your tools with a clean cloth, and then lightly spray with transparent oil,

* During the gardening and maintenance season, sharpen your cutting tools, garden shears and shovel blades, etc. Use a whetstone to sharpen the knife, and then use sandpaper to polish the details to smooth the edges of the shovel and knife.

* Thoroughly clean any tools used for chemical agents. Fertilizers and other chemicals will quickly corrode any metal parts.

* In order to prevent additional corrosion, please use a 5 liter gallon barrel of mortar and pour a new batch of engine oil on it. Every time you put your tool aside, use it as a shovel cleaner/oiler. Each tool enters and transports the oil sands several times after use.
